Join Creativity Works CIC for an in-person site visit to explore the land around The Story — the setting for the Wild Imaginings: Woodland Makers Project commission.

This visit offers potential applicants the opportunity to:

• Explore the woodland and green spaces around The Story and the Mount Oswald neighbourhood.
• Learn about the context of the Wild Imaginings: Durham City PLACE Lab initiative and its focus on creative uses of green spaces.
• Discuss the aims of the commission and ask questions about site access, local engagement, and delivery logistics.
• Meet members of the Creativity Works and Durham County Council teams.

What to Expect

The session will begin with a short welcome at The Story, followed by a guided walk around the site. The walk will include uneven ground and outdoor conditions, so please:

• Wear suitable footwear and clothing for walking in woodland and open green space.
• Bring a notebook or camera if you wish to record ideas for your proposal.
• Be prepared for mixed weather — the visit will go ahead rain or shine!
