We are thrilled to invite you to the launch of “Warm”, a vibrant new creative initiative supported by Arts Council England, celebrating the power of the arts to provide comfort and connection to displaced communities.

In collaboration with Create North, Newcastle Library has partnered with Ukrainian communities across the northeast, commissioning a series of creative residencies. These residencies have explored diverse interpretations of ‘warmth’—from the feeling of being welcomed into a new community to safety, friendship, and empathy.

The result is an exciting exhibition of work created by Ukrainian artists, with support from established UK creatives. This collection of installations and exhibitions—featuring photography, dance, ceramics, and music—will be on display at City Library from 4th to 10th October.

To celebrate the opening of this inspiring exhibition, we invite you to join us for an exclusive launch party on Thursday, 3rd October at 5:30pm. Meet the artists and project team, enjoy refreshments, and be the first to experience these powerful artworks.
