We all know that singing is good for you, with its natural mood boosting effects. But it can feel a bit scary, especially if, like many people, you think that you can’t sing. The truth is that anyone can learn to enjoy singing, and enjoy the many health benefits that it brings.
In these friendly and relaxed sessions, singing coach and choir leader Rosie is here to help you enjoy singing, and enhance your health and wellbeing. Whether you’re a complete beginner, or you already sing in a choir, this is your chance to get to know how your voice works and keep it healthy, along with plenty of tricks of the trade to help you find your best sound.
Over the 3 sessions, we’ll work on breathing, posture, relaxation, and vocal techniques, as well as enjoying a fun singalong, and some yummy afternoon tea. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to ask Rosie your questions, and by the end of the course, you’ll have all the skills you need to give your local community choir a try, and to allow singing to enhance your life.
These sessions are taking place on the 11th, 18th and 25th November
Create North is delighted to be hosting these workshops. They are part of our Creativity Works project and are for people living in South Durham.
