Building a Sustainable Business through Online Marketing
This practitioner-lead workshop will offer valuable insights into the ways artists, designers and makers can present themselves online and generate interest in and customers for their work.
Furniture designer-maker Nick James will deliver this participatory session. Nick has been very successful in using social media and selling platforms to grow his business, so we thought it be great to tap into his experience and expertise.
Some of the areas Nick will cover include:
- The importance of an online profile
- Developing an online marketing strategy
- The importance of imagery
- Working with online retailers and your online presence
- The impact of your brand on your online presence
- The importance of consistency
- Working with the press in the digital age
- Social media methods
Nick will share his experience of what worked for him and what didn’t work, and the do’s and don’ts of working online.
