Create North would like to invite you to wrap up warm and join us for our Christmas Beach Party.

We will celebrate the season with a convivial get-together in the lovely, ozone-drenched, big-skied setting of Crimdon Dene. We’ll bring mulled wine (non-alcoholic) and mince pies, and we’ll all join together to make a festive installation on the beach. Award winning environmental artist Steve Messam is gifting us his time to help us with this creative task.

Based in County Durham, Steve is an internationally renowned artist. His ephemeral site-specific installations re-imagine the everyday, interrupting landscapes and to help us perceive the familiar environment in a new way. In 2021, he was awarded ‘Visual Artist of the Year’ at the Newcastle Journal Culture Awards.

Remember to bring your bucket and spade!

This celebration is FREE, but please book so that we know how many people to cater for.
