Event Details

Value is always created within a business, be it a brand, a product, a website, a training course, a video or promotional materials. This intangible value is also known as intellectual property (IP). In this session, you will learn how to recognize the IP you own and use, how to protect your creations and how to make sure you are not infringing anyone else’s rights.

We’re jointly hosting this event with Newcastle Library’s Business & IP Centre (BIPC) whose team members are IP advisors certified by the Intellectual Property Office. A member of the team will introduce the key ideas behind the different types of IP: designs, copyright, trade marks, patents and trade secrets.

You will also have the opportunity talk, one-to-one, to a trained IP adviser from the BIPC. 30 minute appointments will be available in the afternoon to help you to make sense of your intellectual property and help you with any specific issues or questions that you might have.

Places on this course are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment.
